Jin Ah Shin
Artist Bio:
Jin Ah Shin, born in Seoul, South Korea, is currently studying art at Howard Community College. She has been accepted to UMBC. Having experienced a lot of difficulties, she has embarked on a life’s journey with her paintings expressing her emotions with a pencil, color pencil, and watercolors. She is interested in finding beauty and a true self through art and share new-found self with her community.
Artist Statement:
The common materials such as a pencil, color pencils, and watercolors are my tools to embark on a journey when I want to find my true self. Art is therapy when we exist as an honest self with love, warmth, respect, and compassion; we are not only for ourselves but also for others who can build a fair and healthy world.
