Michael Thompson
Artist Bio:
Michael Thompson is an aspiring cartoonist born in Baltimore, Maryland. An active imagination sparked at a young age, and he took up art as a hobby. As the years went by, he would soon develop his own characters and draw comics. Mike may be much older now since he started his art career, but he’s still got that same spirit deep inside of him. He’s a kid at heart, and he’s got big dreams. He plans to make his own graphic novels, video games, and films someday soon.
Artist Statement:
Art to a lot of people seems near impossible to do if you don't have some sort of "gift". I know so many people flat out say that they can't draw and never could. I want to change that mentality.
I'm a cartoonist and illustrator with a bunch of original characters I've made over the years. I love to draw, and I want to inspire other artists to draw, too. I've done that on a small scale online with social media, but I know I can do more. I want to be someone who's passions shine through their work, and can instill that same passion into others. This matters a lot to me because I believe anyone can do what I do, no matter what. And I want others to believe that too. Anyone can draw.
