Nhi Le
Artist Bio:
Nhi Le is a student at Howard Community College. She devotes her time to developing her skill and knowledge in various media such as drawing, graphic design, and photography. Her ideas are expressed through portraits and nature due to it allowing her to connect humans and the natural world in an artistic approach.
She was born and lived in Cantho, Vietnam, before moving to the United State in 2013 to pursue her education and studies in arts after high school. She is planning to transfer to a university to finish her BA in Graphic Design.
Artist Statement:
At the moment when I have to decide whom I want to be in the future, the ability to draw recalls what I am truly passionate about and that has greatly informed my decision to become an artist. A major influence of my artistic perspective was shaped after viewing plenty of posters and art books. I was impressed by how amazing the artwork was rendered and delivered. The artists captivated me by creating a whole dreamy world, with all the images embedded greatly together. Therefore, the images I conceive within my head and my abilities as a renderer inform and ultimately aid me in the creation of my work.
My works are a step in my ongoing growth toward an academic approach to graphic design. I recently practiced creating works that involved the present and the past, advertisement, and exploring strong use of typography, too. I also used what I have learned to create book covers that relate to visual communication where information will be presented through a digital interface. Creating an imaginary world is like creating a second diverse aspect of life. By turning reality into something more abstract requires more of my improvement in conveying my ideas in a way that is not only effective but also beautiful.
To me, my works allow me to express my ideas as well as my thoughts of something that brings into being. Also, art helps me discover and understand things about myself that you never recognized before which is my passion for drawing, painting, and creating.
