Artist Bio:
Raul Elias Mendez Iglesias is a 21 years old programmer that focuses on game programming. He graduated in Texas and currently lives in Maryland. He mainly focuses on making games of multiple genres, but he also can do programming for websites using JavaScript. The main languages that he uses are JavaScript and C++ and he is beginning to learn C#.
Artist Statement:
There are a lot of games out there, from bad to good and every single game requires two things. The first thing is a heart, an engine, to run and be free; Unity is one of those engines and that is what I use to create worlds. The second one is the code, the code is the blood of the game and there are a lot of coding languages out there, I use C++ as the blood for my games. That’s what programming is all about, to give life to the game. Every coding is a long and slow process, but the reward is to create a world to escape from reality.
Coding is complicated and complex when it is seen from the outside but the reality is some coding is basic and simple, not complicated. My coding is not an exception to this, it is clean and organized. There are two types of coding style, one of them I call the cluster, which means they make it all compact and don’t leave space in between. The other one is open style, I write in this style which means I leave plenty of space in between lines of code. This style of coding is easier to read for any future programmer, including myself. Though people might not see the code, those that see it and have to write, appreciate being able to read it more easily, which is why I take my time to write my code.
